Hello Ximena, you may not know it but altar tiles are ancient in both creating and use. 🙂 Respectfully, blessings!

Altar tiles can hold significance and energy. Dont knock it until you try it. Each to their own.

I mean, does a fancy tile really enhance your witchcraft practice? Seems like a superficial trend to me. Ill stick to my old-school methods.

Hype? I don’t see any hype. Ceramic? ok that’s a new one on me. Altar tiles hold symbolic significance and elevate the ritual experience. Respect tradition and sacred tools.

Why not just use a regular plate or coaster? Seems like a lot of unnecessary fuss over a piece of ceramic. Lets keep it simple, folks.

🙂 Good question Mary. That is but one way, no you don’t have to bury them as I do. I do this to infuse it with elemental energies, this in addition to dressing altar tiles with spell oils.

Ive seen them before but didn’t realize their actual purpose. This was very useful information. Is burying the tile a must? Or would cleansing, applying oil and setting intention suffice?

😉 As you will, I dig down nine inches deep, lay it flat in the hole on dark moon and unearth it during full moon. 🙂 Oiling with Power of the Witch, Manifestation Oil or Lightning Oil (I must confess I use all three, lol) and this burial procedure brings a ton of magical strength to my altar, spell workings and to what I rest upon it. 🙂 Blessings.

Hi Luna, Merry Meet again! Yes, there is no rule that says you cannot use altar tiles in your crystal grids. I do, and love doing so. Great question!
