Hi Celine, 😉 I don’t think positive or negative with numbers, our reaction to them can certainly be though. Three is all about “an initial stage of completion” – sometimes cause for celebration, sometimes cause for sorrow and tears, right? But something has formed, but it’s never over. Something has come together, now there’s a reaction. Three is just one “lens” in P.E.N.S.I. but not the whole, you have to put all five together. 🙂 Blessings!

😉 Very good! I sometimes see divorce, separation or breaking up when I see the Three of Swords and the reverse Two of Cups, an especially strong signal. I am glad you see that it sometimes the person you are reading for that is the cause of the heartache. Approach that gently. But yes, this is like a “hard reveal” the truth has come out, the argument has broken out into the open and it feels visceral, deeply cutting. Remember to always take it in as a whole in reading, the position, the cards before and after it in a spread. It’s like a mini-movie / documentary of their lives.

Hello Brooklyn, 🙂 It can be “E-all of the above” so to speak, sure, but often is one or the other, or a combination. First, it has to be taken in context, look at the other cards in the spread, important positions that set the tone or base of the reading. Then look at cards immediately before and after the card in question. And, as you work through the steps of P.E.N.S.I., you’ll be surprised what sparks your intuition.

Its all about personal interpretation. Thats the beauty of tarot – no right or wrong. Trust your intuition.
